I havent changed any settings in any of my sponsor accounts

I'm kindof hoping the problem is resolved but I know this wont be fixed anytime soon

So what are you guys doing for payments? Are you really going into all your affiliate accounts and changing to old school check payments? This will take me hours of boring work if need to do :(

I changed all my main ones, switched back to cheque. Not a lot of fun, I remember when I finally switched all the sponsors I send small amounts of traffic to from cheque to epass, was a pain in the ass. Statsremote makes it easier with auto login but I'm having to change my address to my new one on each program. Feels like submitting galleries again, filling out forms endlessly and clicking links in confirmation emails. I'm going to hate it more if epass gets their shit fixed and I have to do it again to go back to epass. I hate cheques, hate paper. I never pay attention to them and it sucks having to look back into physical, paper folders to find stubs to confirm a sponsor paid me, especially when their location is a few thousand kilometres away. Epass made everything easier and timely. No bounced cheques, no calls to the bank, no bullshit. Epass was never cutting edge, the competition is just so behind the times. Why nobody else has taken it to the level epass has is beyond me. Why epass would fuck this up so bad is also beyond me. They make a good thing happen, a civilized, modern system then whoevers at the helm gets greedy or lazy or too arrogant to follow the rules and fucks a lot of people over including, I can only imagine, his own employees when they have to start laying off. I sure hope Visa gave them proper and plenty of fair warning ahead of time, cuz Visa should really have been considering all the people they fucked over before they shut off the cards like that. I'm not out any money, like 60 bucks beer money but I'm going to be late on cheques as they take forever to get mailed, then picked up for me, then deposited, then wired to me. So I`m not hurting over it, just inconvenienced. Regardless, still pissed how big companies can fuck over so many little guys with their arrogance or whatever the fuck caused this.

And while Im at it, the whole mail system is outdated. Having to call everybody and switch your mailing address every`time you move is a huge pain in the ass for everybody. There should be a code assigned to people and the nation you reside ins postal service updates that code with your address everytime you move. So when you have stuff mailed to you its addressed to your user code not some archaic home address system. The code is on file and anytime someone mails something to you they just punch in your code for the cost of shipping. Example, your cell phone bill. You give the company your postal 'code'. You can move 20 times and never have to tell them you have because everytime they mail you its sent to your code, not some old address from last year where you have to call your old neighbour that you never knew 12 times a year whos hopefully collecting mail for you.

Anyways, that's the most useless post Ive made in a long time.

Most of my bigger sponsors pay me by check and wire as this has always been the easiest and cheapest way of receiving funds.

I have used epass for smaller sponsors and withdrawn funds by wire once every couple of weeks. I hardly ever used the Visa card because their fees were unbelievable rip offs. So far the Visa issue has not effected me and I am hoping smaller sponsors will continue to pay by Epass.

If they won't hold on to Epass, I will probably drop most small programs that make less than 1k a year and increase minimum payouts for the better programs to offset their fees for wires, transfers and checks.

There are a couple of programs I don't trust to give my private information such as bank account number so I will drop all the small programs that have a shady reputation - not just talking about Deecash and Co. LOL.

I always went with checks, so the epassport drama hasn't effected me at all.

looks like im switching to cheques... sigh

Bank transfers or telegraphic transfers whatever they are called cost too much really...

problem is the wait for the fucking cheques, they take a while to get to international countries like Australia...

but i wouldnt leave my settings on epassporte because im not confident this shit will end well...

Latest email from Epassporte:

September 16, 2010

ePassporte N.V. has had several extensive meetings with St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank (the "Bank") in an effort to resume operations and card functionality.

We are encouraged and believe these meetings and ongoing discussions with the Bank will result in all card functions becoming operational shortly, although a date has not yet been determined.

ePassporte and St Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank want to assure cardholders that their funds are safe and that resuming operations is a key and attainable goal.

At AV Revenue we will probably make Checks and ACH Direct debit free (need to check with the accounting).
We are thinking increasing the min payout for wire so we can offer it for free. do you think it's interesting for affiliates ?

BTW
you know what would be awesome is if sponsors that really want to take advantage of this situation would start offering FREE ACH direct deposits
that'd be a step forward from this Epass thing, instead of a step back

Cici pls lead the way, I'm sure others will follow :)

Correct me if I am wrong, but when you enter into a direct deposit agreement, you also allow the other party to withdraw funds from your account ....
